Job Description:

This role supports engineering and factory teams by sourcing and procuring experimental and prototype parts that directly impact product development and testing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Procure experimental and prototype parts to support engineering and manufacturing initiatives
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and sourcing options
  • Request and compare supplier quotes, balancing cost, lead time, and feasibility
  • Issue purchase orders and manage procurement documentation
  • Track order status and proactively communicate updates to engineering and factory teams
  • Coordinate with factory personnel to label, store, stage, and manage prototype parts
  • Maintain visibility into experimental part inventory to support ongoing and future builds

Requirements:

  • 2–3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing
  • Hands-on experience with requesting and evaluating supplier quotes
  • Strong background in supplier identification, selection, and communication
  • Comfortable working on-site in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear communicator who can work cross-functionally with engineering and factory teams

Nice to have:

  • 4–5 years of related procurement experience
  • Experience supporting prototype, experimental, or low-volume sourcing
  • Familiarity with purchase order systems and inventory tracking
