This position supports experimental manufacturing operations by managing part routings, coordinating material movement, maintaining accurate inventory, and troubleshooting issues that impact production flow.
Job Responsibility:
Create and edit manufacturing routings for experimental builds
Generate programs for fabrication operations
Review manufactured part prints for accuracy and manufacturability
Monitor production inventory and forecast material requirements
Execute stock transfers between departments and maintain documentation
Communicate with internal teams regarding material movement
Coordinate with Supply Management on purchased parts and availability
Prepare and maintain daily/weekly production reports using Excel and other MS Office tools
Occasionally design and model simple parts for shop use
Support engineers with part request troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve issues related to laser programs and routing discrepancies
Requirements:
Associate degree in Pre‑Engineering, Manufacturing/Engineering Technology, CAD, or related field (Equivalent experience will be considered.)
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
Strong organizational and communication skills
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and prints
Experience with CREO and AutoCAD
Familiarity with SAP and Power BI
Knowledge of inventory management fundamentals
High computer literacy and comfort learning new systems
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
Knowledge of sheet metal and other fabrication processes
