Job Responsibility:
Project Management: Manage transportation planning projects and tasks, producing high quality deliverables and delivering client success
Business Development: Direct client outreach, develop client and partner relationships, direct proposal writing and making presentations
Staff Development: Foster the growth of junior staff, helping guide their technical development and consulting skills
Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Develop outreach materials, lead stakeholder meetings and presentations, develop workshop materials, prepare surveys and engaging exercises
Technical Analysis: Analyze and solve complex transportation planning or engineering problems involving all travel modes. Projects might include multimodal transportation plans, safety plans, feasibility studies, parking studies, concept plans for a variety of facilities, GIS analysis, transit market analysis and freight plans
Requirements:
4-10 years of directly relevant work experience in one or more of the following areas: traffic analysis (e.g. Synchro), traffic safety assessment and policy, transportation planning (e.g., bicycle or transit plans, parking studies, infrastructure finance, transportation and land use policy), or travel demand modelling (e.g. TransCAD)
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in transportation planning, urban and regional planning, or a related major (e.g., transportation engineering, geography, math, statistics, economics)
Demonstrated experience identifying and securing project work through client and teaming partner relationships
Excellent technical writing and public speaking skills
Experience with project management and marketing
Interpersonal skills, a desire to collaborate, and a creative approach to problem-solving
Willingness to travel to other geographic markets as necessary to support project work
Nice to have:
Professional license (highly desirable)
Familiarity with Texas policies, guidelines, standards, and tools for transportation planning
DFW-regional knowledge and work experience (preferred, but not required)
Serving a leadership role or an active member in professional organizations (preferred, but not required)
GIS experience (preferred, but not required)
Multilingual (Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese preferred, but not required)
