This full-time temporary role involves supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs within a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils feel safe, supported, and engaged in their learning.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs within a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Helping pupils feel safe, supported, and engaged in their learning
Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff
Providing consistent, individualised support
Adapting approach to meet each student’s emotional, behavioural, and learning needs
Requirements:
Experience supporting children with SEMH or challenging behaviour
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
Confidence supporting pupils within the classroom
A proactive, resilient, and compassionate attitude
Must have the right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa
Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) update service, or be willing to obtain one
