Job Description:

Our Tax Department is currently seeking an Experienced Tax Associate. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience, a solid educational background, and a strong interest in pursuing a public accounting and tax career. They must be able to perform their duties with precision and accuracy

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and assist with multi-state and federal income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, corporations, partnerships, entities, estates, and trusts
  • Support Senior Staff and Managers with year-end projections and quarterly estimates
  • Assist with new tax compliance approaches from reviews to analysis
  • Conduct thorough research and remain up to date with tax laws
  • Liaise regularly with senior staff, managers, and clients while maintaining strong verbal and written presentation skills

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of public accounting and tax-related experience
  • Ability to prepare a working trial balance and make year-end adjusting entries
  • A broad understanding of tax law with specialized knowledge in one or more areas, such as individual and corporate taxation of pass-throughs, estate and gift tax, investment advisory, and financial planning
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related fields
  • CPA eligible or in the process of obtaining a CPA certification
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word is required

Nice to have:

  • Experience preparing tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and trusts
  • Experience in non-profit organizations
  • Experience with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess)
