The Boeing Company is looking for Experienced Systems Engineer - Vehicle Management Systems (Guidance, Navigation & Controls Systems Engineer) to join the Airplane Systems organization located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. As a member of WISK VMS team, you will be responsible for System development of Vehicle Management System (ARP4754A). Also, you will be responsible for design, system level requirements development, decomposing requirements, Validation & Verification and traceability of requirements, and supports FAA certification. This role will be based out of Bengaluru, India.

Job Responsibility:

  • System development of Vehicle Management System (ARP4754A)
  • Design, system level requirements development, decomposing requirements, Validation & Verification and traceability of requirements, and supports FAA certification
  • Evaluates customer / operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, functional requirements and regulatory requirements
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
  • Coordinates with engineering functions to define requirements related to safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialty engineering groups
  • Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues
  • Present requirement, design and/or development revision and changes to formal change boards
  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (BASIC QUALIFICATION)
  • Engineering degree (Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication / Electrical & electronics) and 8 to 12 years related work experience, a master’s degree with 7+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrate excellence in development of high-integrity systems such as Flight Controls Systems, Flight Management System (Guidance, Navigation, Flight Planning)
  • System Test / Verification experience, specifically with a focus on Navigation State Estimation
  • An understanding of the following sensors: INS, GNSS, Radar Altimeters, Air Data Systems
  • Demonstrate excellence in System design, integration & testing
  • Demonstrate excellence in development Assurance (ARP4754A)
  • Develop System test procedures
  • Perform Requirements Management in tools such as DOORS or equivalent
  • Having System Test automation experience, specifically utilizing Python
  • Working experience on ARP 4754 & knowledge on ARP-4761, DO178 & DO-254
  • Systems testing knowledge and Hands on experience in using test equipment
  • Hands on Experience on IBM Rational DOORS / dxl scripting / automation for productivity in requirements Management is required
  • Performs System analyses activities for safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, regulatory and certification
  • Strong Written, verbal communication with engineers, management, and non-engineering support staff
  • Experience in working with suppliers or other external stakeholders is preferred
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment
  • INCOSE certification on Systems Engineering is an added advantage
  • Detailed knowledge of FAA certification and airworthiness requirements is highly desired
  • Experience in test planning, setup, test development, execution, conducting tests in a lab or production environment
  • Experience in performing design, integration, and/or testing on avionics sub-systems, performing environmental testing
  • Develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, team members, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and complete projects
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English and have high degree of proficiency with MS Office tools to prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, proposals, and Statements of Work
