Job Description:

As a Surfacing Operative, it is expected that you possess a strong sense of teamwork, and a flexible approach to work. Your success in this role will be driven by your ability to consistently complete tasks on time, taking pride in delivering a product of superior quality and having a keen eye for detail. Teamwork is key while working within our surfacing squads with all members being able to work under their own initiative in showing their willingness to learn and develop. This role will cover the South West area and we are ideally looking for candidates who are located in the Ayrshire area.

Job Responsibility:

  • Execute tasks as directed by the Foreperson, ensuring adherence to instructions
  • Maintain, operate, and ensure the safety of all plant and equipment
  • Keep personal protective equipment (PPE) in excellent condition
  • Mentor and support less experienced operatives
  • Maintain professional working practices and comply with company and safety procedures
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and any concerns affecting quality and safety

Requirements:

  • CSCS card and driving license essential
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Keen interest in the construction materials industry and heavy mobile plant machinery operations
  • A desire to learn and grow within the industry, with a focus on safety and quality
