Job Description:

Due to continued growth driven by strong client relationships and recent client wins, DAC Beachcroft’s Casualty Injury (EL/PL) team is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX), with 4+ years’ PQE, to join our expanding team. We welcome applications from lawyers with a range of litigation backgrounds. Prior defendant experience is not essential, and we would be pleased to consider candidates with Claimant, clinical negligence or in-house litigation experience who are keen to transition into this area of work.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing own caseload of multi-track EL/PL claims
  • Supervisory role, supporting and overseeing a small team of Paralegals handling volume litigated EL/PL claims
  • Technical supervision and oversight of EL/PL claims
  • Conducting performance reviews and supporting the development of team members
  • Absence management and pastoral support of the Paralegal team
  • Monitoring team financial performance and ensuring targets are met
  • Ensuring files are progressed proactively and efficiently to conclusion
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients
  • Supporting marketing and business development initiatives, including client training, marketing events, clinics and shadowing opportunities

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
  • 4+ years' PQE
  • Experience in handling a personal injury or litigation caseload, including EL/PL or similar work types
  • IT-literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Well organised, with the ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing demands
  • Analytical, with the ability to review evidence critically and identify issues or anomalies
