Job Responsibility:

  • Work in the Boeing Digital Services solutions team to develop, maintain and improve Aviation Operational Efficiency Software products
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Work with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners
  • Be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones
  • Collaborate within an Agile team setting, working as a group to drive Epic/Feature/Story creation as well as solution design and architecture
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to earn trust, persuade, motivate and mentor other team members
  • Be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, strong analytical and creative problem solving skills and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment

  • Work in close cooperation - actively aligns the technical roadmap, System Design, with teams based in international locations
  • Create and maintain necessary software design and architecture documentation
  • Keep track of and actively reduce technical debt
  • Work collaboratively with an international team comprising Software development, product management, and business analysis
  • Be responsible to provide support to development of internal competency and resources for critical skill sets
  • Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends, competition offerings and advancements in aircraft performance and sustainability
  • Research and recommend new system requirements to improve the product capabilities
  • Travel domestically and internationally, as required

Requirements:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 8 to 12 years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master 7 to 11 years') related in computer science, aerospace or other closely related field
  • Experience in Flight Management Systems and Aircraft performance computation/optimization, Aerodynamics and Flight Dynamics
  • Experience with Matlab/Python scripting
  • Experience in Machine learning and data analytics
  • Experience in Deep Learning and Neural Network models

Nice to have:

  • Experience Flight Plan/Optimization, Aircraft Fuel planning and optimization, expertise in Lateral and Vertical flight planning, Air Traffic Management
  • Experience related to EFB/Flight Deck applications
  • Experience related to Aircraft Performance computation/optimization, Tail Specific Performance computations using big data analytics, AI/ML, Agentic AI, and modelling
  • Exposure to Flight Data Monitoring and Flight Data Analytics
  • Familiarity with airplane avionics, network protocols and airplane system integration
  • Assists in the facilitation of team meetings across time zones
  • Delivers informative, well-organized presentations
  • Excellent verbal and written English, including grammar
