Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Software Configuration Management (SCM) Engineer to support our product development team in Richardson TX.The SCM engineer will support the flight and training system software team for the establishment, upgrade, and sustainment of US Navy programs.
Job Responsibility:
Supports the software configuration within a given scope
Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle
Coordinate software deliveries with software engineering team, security and customer locations
Moderate Software Review Board (SRB) meetings and providing agendas and minute
Support the execution of small to medium projects including schedules, budgets and progress reporting to ensure implementations that are on time, within budget and meet quality objectives
Analyze end users business processes to provide solutions to facilitate desired objectives
Meet with end users to define requirements for software applications
Leads the evaluation of moderately complex commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products and current Boeing products by testing and benchmarking for solutions to requirements
Utilize data gathered from customers to assist in the definition of Configuration and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems
Performs integration, routine analysis and resolution of issues with software configuration
Work under general direction to coordinate and conduct product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5 years of relevant experience is required
Experience working in a software agile lifecycle is required
GitLab and Artifactory experience is required
Active Secret Clearance is required and ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance is required post start
Nice to have:
Degree Software or Computer Science
Active Top Secret clearance will be highly prioritized
