Job Description:

We are currently working on two Locum Social Work opportunities within Rochdale Adult Social Care's Mental Health East and West Teams, supporting working-age adults with mental illness. These roles offer a strong statutory focus within a supportive, well-structured service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Hold and manage a caseload
  • Undertake a full range of statutory Adult Social Care functions
  • Participate in the Duty Rota
  • Participate in the Social Circumstance Report Rota
  • Work closely with co-located colleagues from Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust
  • Contribute to a high-performing, supportive team environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience within statutory Adult Social Care and/or statutory Adult Mental Health Services
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Assessments under the Care Act
  • Section 117 Mental Health Act work
  • Mental Capacity Assessments and leading Best Interest Meetings
  • Reviewing services and developing Care Plans
  • Facilitating safe hospital discharges
  • Statutory safeguarding processes (concerns, enquiries, case conferences)
  • Duty functions, including triaging referrals
  • Strong knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation
