Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in the Crawley area. This full-time role involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs within a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them to feel safe, engaged, and confident in their learning
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored classroom support
  • Contribute to a positive and consistent learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND (or a strong interest in this area)
  • A calm, patient, and caring approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to supporting pupils’ wellbeing and progress
  • Right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa
  • Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) update service, or be willing to obtain one
