At Gubra, we are expanding our Drug Discovery Innovation capabilities with a strengthened focus on integrating human data, computational approaches, and disease biology into early discovery. We believe the next generation of therapeutic breakthroughs will come from combining deep biological understanding with large-scale human datasets, translational insight, and innovative target discovery approaches. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape Gubra's next-generation discovery engine by strengthening how we identify, prioritize, and advance novel therapeutic opportunities across cardiometabolic disease, inflammation & immunology, and age-related diseases. You will have significant scientific influence and contribute both to discovery programs and to the development of scalable and innovative approaches across early discovery.
Job Responsibility
Drive discovery campaigns focused on identifying and advancing novel therapeutic targets
Leverage human genetics, omics datasets, and public databases to strengthen target prioritization and mechanistic understanding
Integrate disease biology, translational insights, and competitive intelligence to define target hypotheses and assess opportunities and risks
Collaborate across scientific disciplines to support early validation and progression of target concepts
Deliver clear scientific recommendations to support data-driven decision-making
Contribute to the development of scalable computational and data-driven approaches for target discovery and prioritization
Establish and maintain productive external scientific collaborations where relevant
Requirements
PhD in life sciences
experience from biotech and/or pharmaceutical drug discovery environments
5+ years of experience within target identification and early drug discovery
hands-on experience applying human data, omics, and computational approaches in therapeutic discovery
