Job Description

At Kalos Services, we’re looking for a skilled Experienced Residential Service Technician who lives and breathes field service. You’ll be the face of our service team—diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC, or related systems in homes, making sure customers get top-level care. You’ll move from call to call, troubleshoot in the field, and bring the job to a quality finish. This role is not just about ideas, it’s about execution. If you’re someone who takes ownership, shows up ready, and gets things done right the first time, you’ll thrive here.

Job Responsibility

  • Respond to residential service calls and perform diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, and installations
  • Troubleshoot complex HVAC and related systems on-site using schematics, control logic, and hands-on testing
  • Replace parts, components, wiring, sensors, or control modules as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance on systems (cleaning, calibration, verifying performance)
  • Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service reports
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and team members about issues, timelines, and expectations
  • Ensure safety compliance, jobsite cleanliness, and adherence to company standards
  • Occasionally support installations or replacements when needed
  • Learn continuously—stay up to date on new equipment, diagnostic tools, and best practices

Requirements

  • 3+ years in residential (or light commercial) HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical service
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting ability and comfort working in varied environments
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, control logic, and basic schematics
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Good communication skills and customer-facing demeanor
  • Ability to lift, climb, and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, etc.
  • Willing to undergo background check and drug screening
