Job Description

The Experienced Outlet & Banquet Cook 1 will cover several key shifts within the Four Seasons Kitchen. The Cook will be responsible for preparing an array of types of food from Lunch and Dinner items per guest orders to large Banquet function menus while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

  • Work closely with the pastry chef to supervise and assist with the creation and production of all pastry items, following recipes and presentation standards
  • Manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality, freshness, and cost, and monitoring ordering and stocking
  • Complete mise en place and set up stations, buffets, and plate up for all outlets
  • Ability to ensure consistent production of all baked goods and pastries, ice cream, and confectionery for all outlets, banquets and amenities
  • Manage procurement and ordering processes for the department through Birchstreet, ensuring accuracy, vendor consistency, and adherence to purchasing specifications
  • Ability to train, evaluate, coach, motivate and supervise other pastry employees to ensure that core standards are met
  • Organize and assist with restaurant events (buyouts, outside catering, holiday activations)
  • Ability to communicate regularly with the Pastry Chef to contribute to menu development and recipe creation for the outlets of the resort and custom requests
