Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within one of JRL Group's key divisions; Trent Precast Concrete Ltd. The JRL Group is a highly successful, privately owned, national construction group head quartered in North London. With a turnover of in excess of £360m, the business is currently experiencing growth and as such seeks to strengthen our Precast team. Trent Precast specializes in the manufacture and delivery of structural precast concrete units based in the heart of the country in Nottingham. Experienced Loading Operative - Nottingham - Permanent.

Job Responsibility

  • Load and unload precast concrete units safely, including slinging, securing, and preparing loads for transport
  • Operate shunter vehicles and telehandlers to move trailers, precast units, and materials around the yard
  • Assist with the organisation of the yard to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Maintain safe walkways, clear access routes, and tidy working areas at all times
  • Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
  • Work closely with colleagues, drivers, and supervisors to meet production and delivery schedules
  • Carry out general yard duties as required to support the wider operation

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a yard, loading, construction, or precast environment
  • Experience operating telehandlers, shunters, or similar plant equipment is a MSUT
  • Good understanding of health and safety, particularly around lifting operations
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take instruction from supervisors
