We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook with over 5 years of experience to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-quality dishes, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to our kitchen's excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and established standards
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
Ensure food quality and presentation meet our high standards
Follow and enforce food safety and sanitation regulations
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff
Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
Participate in menu development and suggest improvements
Train and mentor less experienced kitchen staff
Adapt to changing needs during busy periods
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years experience as a line cook in a professional kitchen
Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
Thorough understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
Strong knife skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Proficiency in multiple cooking stations (e.g., grill, sauté, fry)
Ability to read and execute standardized recipes
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Team player with a positive attitude
Nice to have:
Background in fine dining, upscale casual restaurants & or catering
Experience with diverse cuisines and cooking styles
Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques
