Job Description:

As a Journeyman Glazier, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, installing, and replacing various types of glass, mirrors, and metal framing systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. You will ensure all installations meet safety standards, building codes, and project specifications while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Job Responsibility:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
  • Measure, cut, and install glass, mirrors, and related glass products on walls, ceilings, and exterior surfaces
  • Assemble and install aluminum storefront systems, curtain walls, doors, and window systems
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding and hoisting equipment as required
  • Repair or replace broken glass in windows, doors, and furniture
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and job site standards
  • Provide mentorship, leadership, and guidance to apprentices and junior team members
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial and/or residential glazing
  • Certified Journeyman Glazier (Red Seal preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of glazing materials, tools, installation techniques, and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Ability to work well in outdoor elements, both indoors and outdoors, and handle hazards associated with the trade
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean Driving Abstract required
  • some weekend and overtime flexibility may be necessary
  • Strong attention to safety equipment requirements
  • Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to job sites and off-site locations as needed
