Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Farm Hand to join our large-scale flower farm in the picturesque Northern Rivers region of Lynwood, NSW. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the success of our farm operations. If you are passionate about agriculture, have the necessary qualifications and skills, and are ready to work in a beautiful and vibrant location, we encourage you to apply.

Job Responsibility:

  • General Farm Duties: Perform a wide range of farm tasks, including planting, harvesting, irrigation, and general maintenance
  • Driving Responsibilities: Hold a valid driver's license and be responsible for driving farm vehicles
  • Chemical Application: Utilize your chemical certificate to safely and effectively apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers
  • Chainsaw Skills (Nice to Have): Use them for tasks such as felling trees, clearing debris, or maintaining the farm's landscape
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and repair of farm equipment
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Farm Director and other team members
  • Compliance: Adhere to all safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines
  • Reliability: Demonstrate punctuality and reliability

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Chemical certificate for safe and responsible chemical application
  • Previous experience in farm work or a related field
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects

Nice to have:

  • Chainsaw certificate
  • Forklift certificate
