Job Description

This job is responsible for the operation of open cut mine equipment to facilitate the production of coal. Safely operating a variety of heavy equipment and haul trucks utilized in the mining industry. Responsible for completion of pre-operational inspections, safety interactions and productive/efficient skilled operations of assigned equipment.

  • Inspect and service equipment
  • Pre-start inspection of equipment and work environment
  • Ensure activities comply with safety, environmental and statutory requirements
  • Conduct safety observations and complete safety interactions monthly
  • Other duties as assigned by the company

Requirements

  • High School Degree or GED Equivalent required
  • Experience in the operation of any combination of the following: Haul Trucks (190 or larger), Scrapers (627 or larger), Dozers (D9 or larger), Rubber Tire Dozers (824 or larger), Blades (14G or larger)
  • Experience preferred: Loaders (988 or larger), Drills (single pass, DMM2, DMM3 or PV275), Shovels
  • Preferred Experience: 3-5 years
