The Alpine Office Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient operation of Mountain Operations. This position is responsible for managing internal communications via radio, phone, and online platforms, and for logging, reporting, and communicating all dispatch-related events. The Dispatcher supports operational coordination across departments and maintains accurate records to ensure smooth daily operations. The office is located in the corporate building in the valley, where you’ll work closely with both the Administration and Lift Experience teams.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure the safe, timely, and efficient opening and closing of Mountain Operations
Answer all incoming calls within 3 rings
Respond promptly to all telephone and radio communications in Dispatch
Coordinate with Ski Patrol, Lift Experience, Lift Maintenance and Electrical Maintenance to ensure safe and timely lift and zone openings
Record clearance times, lift openings, and lift line status
update light boards accordingly
Follow established call-out procedures to notify maintenance, management, and patrol of operational issues
Maintain and file operations documentation both physically and digitally in a timely manner
Review lift logs to confirm completion and proper filing
Maintain accurate and current daily, weekly, and seasonal Dispatch logs
Monitor radio channels and dispatch phone line continuously
Coordinate emergency travel logistics for incoming rescue services
Possess geographical knowledge of lift zones, trail map areas, and avalanche signage locations
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Proficient use of MS Office
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English language proficiently
Good communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
