Job Description

Boeing India IDT&S Enterprise Data & AI team is looking for an Experienced Apigee Platform Engineer to spearhead building Next Gen Data and cloud platform/products. This team constantly uses modern tools and technology along with SAFe methodology to develop integrations and cloud platform products. Also, this role leads the strategic direction, provides solutions and drives business value to keep Boeing and its partners connected in the most innovative, efficient and effective way. We are looking for passionate individuals to create, own, and continuously improve strategic and tactical direction for Software Development and engage in product/integrations development for seamless connections between systems and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand Next Gen cloud platform and Data Integration needs and support design through delivery of robust Microservices & API based solutions
  • Work very closely with product manager, UX designer, architect and collaborate within agile teams to drive user story/tasks creation along with design and development activities
  • Leverage current tech-stack experience with knowledge and understanding of go-forward platforms and technologies to execute on the architecture runway – building integrations that set new standards and propel us into modernized solutions that maximize value
  • Automation using DevSecOps and other available tools to expedite product development achieving First Time Quality
  • Utilize Cloud Service Provider (CSP) expertise to optimize our strategy of cloud-based integrations leveraging the power of AWS, Azure, and GCP to deploy and manage integrations efficiently
  • Work with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners, across different cultures and time-zones
  • Foster an environment of growth by mentoring team members and encouraging innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required as basic qualification
  • Lead design, implementation, and operational support for Apigee (+1.12.x) environments across development, staging and production
  • Implement and maintain scalable, secure, and automated platform infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and configuration management
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and Jenkins for Apigee proxies, platform components, Helm charts and Kubernetes deployments
  • Author and maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests for platform Apigee runtime integrations
  • Manage cloud infrastructure and resources in one or more cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure) compute, networking, IAM, storage and related services
  • ensuring best practices for security, availability and cost
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting solutions for Apigee and platform services (Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace or equivalent)
  • Troubleshoot platform and Apigee runtime issues, perform root-cause analysis, and lead remediation and post-mortems
  • Drive automation for provisioning, upgrades, scaling and disaster recovery of Apigee environments
  • Collaborate with API developers, security, networking and SRE teams with cross-functional collaboration
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform architecture and roadmap decisions.
