Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Associate. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounts payable and bookkeeping, with a keen ability to manage financial documentation and support our accounting functions. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, approval, and payment processing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and assist with bookkeeping tasks
  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts as needed
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, including income statements and trial balances
  • Support preparing annual compliance reports, such as 1099s and other applicable tax documents
  • Monitor and maintain financial accounts, ensuring compliance and resolving discrepancies
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance accounting systems and procedures
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from vendors and clients regarding financial transactions and accounts
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial documents and adherence to legal and company policies
  • Support monthly payroll and maintain organized records
  • Record and reconcile bank statements
  • Provide administrative assistance to the finance department
  • Undertake general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence related to financial operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • 2+ years in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in the high-net-worth and family office space
  • Experience with data entry and financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and tax compliance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

Nice to have:

Experience in public accounting is a plus
