Job Description:

The Business Expense transparency group is a global function with the mandate of optimizing transaction expense costs and implementing best-in-class expense management practices. The team supports multiple areas across the transaction expense base, including supply management, demand management, expense reporting, analysis and control, expense systems development and data transparency. The role focuses on supporting the development and enhancement of Citi’s Trade Cost Calculator and Analytics platform to provide insight into trading costs and activities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the development of the VARCITI trade cost analytics platform
  • engage with system stakeholders across front office, middle office, operations and technology to understand functions, dependencies and design of robust analytics and metrics
  • assist in producing meaning and detailed trade and cost analytics, including volume and product profiling reports, to identify key expense trends and cost drivers
  • work closely with technology throughout the software delivery lifecycle to deliver business requirements and ensure timely release of new products
  • develop and enhance processes for carrying out reconciliations of trade expense analytics to 3rd party invoices
  • gather requirements and analyze new metrics for enhancing our reporting and MI & for new onboarding requests
  • work closely with Technology throughout the Software delivery lifecycle to deliver new requirements and projects
  • interact with the global efficiency, business transparency and operations teams to understand their functions and provide analytical guidance and advancements.

Requirements:

  • Strong database development capabilities. RDBMS and No SQL with database administration (DBA) experience and/or certifications
  • strong PC skills essential including MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • project management or similar technology-related qualification beneficial
  • experience in Qlik / Tableau is desired
  • bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience required
  • good communicator and strong inter-personal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels of the business
  • strong analytical skills, mathematical problem-solving capability and attention to detail a prerequisite
  • highly organized with the capability of working with both regional and global teams
  • self-motivated with an enthusiastic and proactive approach
  • confident to work independently and can work effectively with business and IT subject matter experts
  • detail-oriented with a passion for maintaining standards.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Qlik / Tableau
  • project management or similar technology-related qualification.
