Job Description

We are looking for an Expediter to join our team on a long-term contract. This role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth order management and maintaining strong vendor relationships within a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach and purchasing expertise to support inventory availability and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibility

  • Track open purchase orders to ensure timely shipment and delivery to distribution centers
  • Monitor vendor acknowledgements, production timelines, and shipping schedules to identify and address potential delays
  • Resolve supply chain disruptions by collaborating with vendors and internal teams to maintain continuity
  • Expedite urgent orders to meet seasonal demands and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain consistent communication with vendors to confirm commitments and address delivery expectations
  • Escalate vendor-related issues and collaborate with buyers to improve vendor performance
  • Work with logistics and warehouse teams to coordinate inbound shipments and address receiving challenges
  • Support purchasing strategies by aligning with buyers on product priorities and demand forecasts
  • Strengthen vendor relationships through clear and collaborative communication
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and data entry for order tracking and vendor interactions

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
  • Experience using QuickBooks for financial and inventory management
  • Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with invoice processing and related workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships effectively
  • Previous experience working in an organizational system for tracking and expediting orders
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including buyers and logistics personnel
