We're currently looking for an experienced Expansion Account Executive, Mid-Market to join our dynamic sales team. You would play a crucial role in driving sales growth by effectively engaging and managing relationships with customers in the mid-market segment. You will bring your expertise in navigating larger deals and have a proven track record of success in expanding client accounts. This is a key role within the organization, as MaintainX has seen (and will continue to see) triple-digit, year-over-year growth; thus, creating a need for world-class client care and management. The ideal Expansion Account Executive, Mid-Market will be fanatical about customer success and growth. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to be a part of both client retention and expansion. Job Responsibility:

  • Ownership - You will own a “book of business” from post-sale handoff through renewal and expansion
  • Expansion - You will leverage your experience in navigating larger deals to identify and capitalize on expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Prospecting - You will take a proactive approach in identifying customer needs and providing innovative solutions
  • Presentation - You will conduct quarterly business reviews to assess client satisfaction and present product demonstrations
  • Organization - You will need to manage multiple tasks simultaneously such as client requests, demos, proposals, follow-ups, etc.
  • Systems – You will become a master of using systems like Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and others
  • Forecast - You will accurately manage your sales pipeline and forecast monthly and quarterly expansion opportunities
  • Document - Exhibit meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of customer interactions, deals, and progress
  • Startup Mentality – You will embrace the entrepreneurial, grind-it-out mentality of building something new

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of sales experience, with a significant portion in account management or a similar role within the mid-market segment
  • Demonstrated success in expanding client accounts and driving revenue growth in a B2B sales environment
  • Proficiency in navigating larger deals, understanding complex sales cycles, and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate data-driven insights to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to conduct engaging product demonstrations and lead impactful quarterly business reviews
  • Adaptability and comfort in a fast-paced, rapidly changing sales environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all documentation and deal management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams
  • A positive, passionate, and creative mindset, combined with high-character qualities that align with our company values
  • An open and hungry mind, always willing to improve through coaching and learn about our customers’ industries
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, ideally in a relevant field

Nice to have:

  • Experience with modern sales tech stacks: Salesforce, Salesloft, DiscoverOrg, etc.
  • Experience with startups and entrepreneurial organizations
  • Experience working in CMMS or facility operations software
  • Documented success in working in a remote setting

  • Join Atlassian’s Solutions Engineering Core Team to partner with direct sales, partners and larger account teams on Mid-Market Accounts, tracking the overall customer profile, business problems and complexities, roadmaps, and solution success to optimize the customers within your account team territory
  • Participate in customer discovery to understand the customer's current state, what business problems they want to solve, and map back to the Atlassian products, platforms and solutions that will get them where they want to be
  • Probe for and identify additional opportunities for cross-product/solution expansion
  • Investigate, discover, and assess client pain points
  • Be a product expert of Atlassian software in the pre-sales process, articulating and showing the customer the value of the software and how it can change their way of working
  • Have a broad understanding of full Atlassian product and solution offerings and paint a compelling story of how they work together to unlock the power of teams
  • Lead compelling value-based demonstrations, both standard and customized, flexing across multiple different stakeholder needs, from deep individual product demos to selling the large vision of the whole portfolio
  • Understand, lead, and guide the customer's technical needs in the sales process to gain buy-in from the customer on Atlassian being the right decision
  • Proactively forge strong partnerships with aligned account executives, regularly discussing pipeline, current and upcoming opportunities and needs, bi-directional feedback, and ways to improve the selling cycle together
