As our Exercise Physiologist, you will provide direct, safe, and best-practice driven care primarily in cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation, collaborating extensively with a multi-disciplinary team, cardiologists, and various hospital staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Responsibility
Provide direct, safe, and best-practice driven care primarily in cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation
Establish and update individualized exercise prescriptions
Orient patients to equipment and safety protocols
Conduct functional fitness testing and body composition analysis
Provide essential patient and family education
Supervise and monitor exercise sessions
Document and maintain current clinical data and program records
Adjust treatment plans as appropriate
Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to identify patients requiring mobilization plans of care
Collaborate with nursing to develop and implement individualized mobilization plans of care
Collaborate with nursing to evaluate effectiveness of the plan of care
Act as interdepartmental liaison between recovery room, intensive care areas and floors
Communicate treatment plan with collaborative team members
Monitor patient for ECG changes, cardiac arrhythmias, blood pressure and symptoms before, during and after exercise
Requirements
Bachelors Of Science Exercise Physiology, upon hire and 12 week internship
One (1) year of related work experience
Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
