Job Description

Engineer the Future of Builder Mortgage Lending. New Home Star—the nation’s largest private seller of new homes—has launched New Home Mortgage to build a differentiated, scalable captive mortgage platform purpose‑built for the homebuilding industry. The platform is live. Builder relationships are in place. The opportunity ahead is significant. We are now hiring an Executive Vice President of New Home Mortgage to own the business and build the operating backbone required to scale this platform nationally. This is not a back‑office role. This is an enterprise leadership seat.

Job Responsibility

  • Own full P&L responsibility for New Home Mortgage
  • Lead and scale national mortgage operations, including processing, underwriting, closing, post‑close, and compliance
  • Design and implement the operating structure, systems, and workflows required for national scale
  • Establish performance metrics, operating cadence, and KPI discipline across the organization
  • Partner closely with executive leadership across sales, finance, and capital markets to ensure enterprise alignment and execution
  • Ensure operational excellence that supports builder sales velocity and customer experience
  • Build, develop, and lead a high‑performing leadership team
  • Maintain regulatory compliance while enabling speed and growth
  • Serve as a senior representative of New Home Mortgage with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Candidate must reside in a major U.S. metro with strong air travel access
  • Frequent travel to Detroit and builder markets nationwide is required
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
