Job Description:

Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while assisting in leading the staff and managing all food-related functions. Responsible for guiding and developing staff, ensuring sanitation and food standards, and overseeing food preparation areas at JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting in leading kitchen operations for property
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers
  • Provides direction for menu development
  • Ensures exceptional customer service
  • Manages day-to-day operations
  • Trains kitchen associates
  • Administers performance appraisals

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area

Nice to have:

  • Experience in menu development
  • Knowledge of food safety procedures
