Job Description:

Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while assisting in leading the staff and managing all food related functions. Works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance. Assists in supervising all kitchen areas to ensure consistent, high quality product is produced.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in leading kitchen operations
Provide direction for day-to-day operations
Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and food preparation staff
Develop and implement guidelines for purchasing and receiving areas
Manage department controllable expenses including food cost
Provide direction for menu development
Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
Provide exceptional customer service
Manage and conduct human resource activities

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
6 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
Food handling and sanitation certifications
Leadership and management skills
Culinary expertise and cooking techniques
