College Track seeks an Executive Site Director, reporting to the Vice President College Readiness within the Education Department. The Executive Site Director will manage three direct reports and seven indirect reports. First and foremost, the Executive Site Director will be a fierce advocate for College Track’s mission to equip scholars confronting obstacles to earn a bachelor’s degree in pursuit of a life of opportunity, choice, purpose, and power.
Job Responsibility:
Philanthropic Leadership and Partnership Development
Serve as key partners in cultivating and stewarding individual donors and private and government funders
Play a leadership role in recruiting, developing, and managing the Local Advisory Boards in Northern California
Cultivate and sustain transformational relationships with local elected officials and district and school leadership
Participate in local and state events and speaking engagements
Work effectively with local media
Student Recruitment and Retention
Set the vision and strategy for student recruitment
Work on retention strategies
Financial Accountability
Hold the overall accountability for the site budget
Support program staff in budgeting and forecasting
Regularly review projections vs. actuals
Culture and Site Management
Co-create a student-centered environment
Work collaboratively to develop a “one team” culture
Lead by example, creating a culture of risk management
Through the direct and indirect management of team members, ensure: Programmatic goals are achieved
College Track staff feel invested in and valued
Staff accurately collect and act upon data
A culture of fiscal responsibility exists at the site
Our spaces are affirming for our scholars
Students, staff, and visitors are mentally and physically safe while at the site
Requirements:
Minimum of a 4-year college degree
10-13 years of relevant experience
Highly developed strategic thinking and execution skills
Demonstrates the ability to fundraise and expand the organization’s donor base
Superior relationship-building and interpersonal skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work 11:00am-7:30pm Monday-Friday and some weekends
Nice to have:
Fluency in Spanish or Cantonese is a bonus
