Our client, a media and entertainment company in NYC, is looking for an Executive Producer, Events for a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategy, development, and execution of high-profile public programming, events, exhibits, experiences, and special initiatives. With a strong background in media or entertainment, this role blends creative vision with operational rigor to deliver large-scale, culturally relevant productions that resonate with diverse audiences and align with organizational goals. The Executive Producer will serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership and external stakeholders, translating big ideas into flawless execution while elevating the overall quality, impact, and reputation of the organization’s live and experiential programming.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the end-to-end production of large-scale public programs, events, exhibits, and immersive experiences, from concept development through execution and post-event evaluation
  • Set and own the creative vision, production standards, and operational frameworks for all live and experiential initiatives
  • Act as a hands-on manager, providing day-to-day leadership across production teams, vendors, agencies, and partners
  • Develop and manage complex production budgets, timelines, and resourcing plans, ensuring fiscal discipline and operational excellence
  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders, C-suite executives, and key stakeholders to align programming with strategic priorities and organizational messaging
  • Present concepts, production plans, and post-event recaps clearly and confidently to executive audiences
  • Leverage deep knowledge of the media, entertainment, and pop-culture landscape to ensure programming is timely, relevant, and innovative
  • Oversee risk management, compliance, and safety protocols for all live productions and public-facing experiences

Requirements

  • 20+ years of experience as an Executive Event Producer overseeing large-scale, complex productions, preferably within media, entertainment, or cultural institutions
  • Proven track record of delivering high-profile public programs, live events, exhibits, or experiential initiatives at scale
  • Deep understanding of the media, entertainment, and pop-culture landscape, with a strong sense of audience and cultural relevance
  • Exceptional leadership and hands-on management skills, with the ability to guide teams through high-pressure, fast-paced environments
  • Extensive experience managing large budgets, multiple workstreams, and cross-functional teams simultaneously
  • Strong executive presence with demonstrated comfort presenting to and influencing senior leaders and C-suite stakeholders
  • Excellent strategic, creative, and operational problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

  • Leads, manages and directs cross-functional event teams of varying sizes, providing clear direction, fostering collaboration, and ensuring each experience reflects Disney’s brand excellence and storytelling spirit as well as sources and hires agency temps and non-Disney support as needed
