Job Description:

Executive Pastry Chef position at The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore, accountable for overall success of daily pastry operations, exhibiting creative baking and decorating talents while leading staff in preparing quality pastries for all areas. Works to improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining operating budget.

Job Responsibility:

Accountable for overall success of daily pastry operations
Supervise and manage pastry staff
Ensure quality and consistent pastry production
Maintain sanitation and food standards
Develop new pastry ideas and items
Manage pastry kitchen equipment
Assist with menu development for pastry items
Ensure guest satisfaction and handle complaints
Manage inventory and purchasing according to budget
Train staff on safety procedures and menu items

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
Experience in pastry operations management
Supervisory and management skills
Food handling and sanitation certifications
Menu development skills
Inventory management and budgeting skills

Nice to have:

Creative baking and decorating talents
Media representation experience
Pastry class facilitation skills
