Job Description

Executive Officer Role - Belfast (BT1 2NQ). We're currently recruiting for two temporary Executive Officers for the Education Authority (EA), based in Belfast. This is a great opportunity for someone to showcase their experience within a public sector organisation.

Job Responsibility

  • To work alongside government-controlled schools to create a working business partner relationship
  • Use existing Excel templates to question and verify school's costings. Ensuring all information is accurate and any anomalies rectified
  • Conduct daily virtual meetings with key schools and stakeholders
  • Contributing to finalise each schools three-year funding plans
  • General administration in relation to all aspects of the work of the section including typing, databases, spreadsheets, email, intranet and internet facilities
  • Prepare letters, minutes, notes and other clerical support to officers as appropriate
  • Customer service (Telephone/directly customer facing)

Requirements

  • Three years of employment references
  • Previous experience within a finance based role
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically a strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work

  • Line management of AO Admin Support Officers (where applicable) and lead the team to embed public protection principles across operational teams, providing public protection & safeguarding advice and guidance to staff
