Job Description:

Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Executive Officer. The Flexible Deployment Team (FDT) is a multi-functional unit within the Home Office providing targeted support to operational caseworking areas experiencing workload surges, operational pressures, or ministerial priorities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Casework consideration
  • Applicant interviewing
  • Telephony work
  • Administrative tasks
  • Responding to customer complaints or correspondence
  • Additional roles may be required as new deployments are agreed
  • Caseworkers move between workstreams up to 4-5 times per year, each requiring intensive training and mentoring

Requirements:

  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments, and embraces diverse workstreams aligned with changing deployment priorities
  • Demonstrates exceptional stakeholder management skills, fostering collaboration across various operational colleagues
  • Effectively manages case working duties within the assigned business area, including high-profile cases and broader issues
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Comfortable driving team performance, productivity, and target attainment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to learn quickly in a rapidly changing environment
  • All staff must be adaptable, flexible and able to work under pressure to tight timescales
  • Must hold a valid passport and must have lived in the UK for longer than 5 years
  • Period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 3 years will not be accepted
  • All staff must be able to use and be trained on multiple IT systems
  • Caseworkers must be comfortable working in a dynamic office environment and handling short notice changes in workstreams and priorities
