The Global Executive Talent Acquisition (GETA) team’s mission is to engage and hire game-changing leaders that shape the future of Microsoft and deliver on the promise of our culture. We are currently growing our team of business consultants, talent experts, and cultural ambassadors to shape the leadership of our company today and tomorrow. We are hiring an Executive Market Aligned Recruiter in GETA who will enable and drive our approach to hire senior critical roles and deepen our knowledge of the competitive landscape for the best talent in the market via both market research and talent engagement. This individual is well-connected into the external ecosystem and comfortable driving and owning the external sourcing strategy for senior level talent within Microsoft. This opportunity will allow you to be innovative in your approach to map and connect with the external marketplace and develop sourcing strategies to target and assess top executive talent for today tomorrow.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the development and orchestration of a short- and long-term hiring plan for complex organizations, areas, or talent pools across MS Commercial and Corporate Functions
  • Partner closely with executives, HR, and recruiting colleagues to identify current and future executive talent needs, diagnose talent gaps, and advise on market availability to ensure the right hire is made at the right time
  • Analyze external market data using industry and market expertise to inform sourcing strategies and executive talent acquisition initiatives
  • Create and maintain high‑quality external talent maps, develop competitive intelligence strategies, and educate stakeholders on market realities to support differentiated sourcing approaches
  • Engage candidates early in the process and maintain accurate candidate qualifications, status, and market insights within appropriate systems, partnering with colleagues to support screening and assessment activities
  • Present businesses with talent and market insights, applying deep consultative expertise to shape hiring strategies aligned to the needs of the business group, division, region, or subsidiary

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in directly sourcing, mapping, or recruiting research of executive level talent in go-to-market and corporate functions for a global organization
  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft productivity tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, and/or recruiting CRM systems
  • Knowledge of competitive landscape in the US
  • Process/systems management, interpersonal, organizational, written, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Advanced communications skills and relationship management capabilities
  • Expertise in the following areas: Strategic Insight, Influencing for Impact, Judgment, Cross Boundary Collaboration, Negotiation, and Systems Thinking
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and candidate tracking systems
