Reporting to the Director of Rooms, the Executive Housekeeper at W Edinburgh has overall responsibility for all aspects of cleanliness in the hotel, including guest rooms, public spaces and back of house areas. Job Responsibility:
Recruit and retain the best talent on the market
Design and implement the hotel’s housekeeping policies, standards and procedures
Devise steps of service and train all staff accordingly
Develop teamwork throughout your team
Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety protocols
Maintain inventory of guestroom supplies, cleaning supplies and uniform
Maintain brand standards and adherence to look books
Emphasise the importance of guest satisfaction and the role your team plays in this to all team members
Understand the impact of the department’s operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives, and manage to achieve or exceed budgeted goals
Work in collaboration with all heads of departments to prioritise the overall success of the hotel
Be a W brand ambassador, ensuring the brand’s voice is present in your interactions with guests and talent
Requirements:
A keen eye for detail
Natural leadership skills
Previous experience managing a large team
Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
Sophisticated communication skills
Previous experience working in five star, luxury hotels
A positive mindset
A genuine passion for working in hospitality
