The Executive Director is responsible for leading the community’s day-to-day operations, including full profit and loss responsibility. The Executive Director plans, implements, and evaluates all aspects of operations. This individual recruits and trains team members and has direct supervisory responsibility for a high performing team of leaders in the disciplines of sales, care, hospitality, and resident engagement. The Executive Director fosters an environment of high customer satisfaction and ensures a quality-oriented and engaged workforce. They ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and focuses on creating a safe working and living environment.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the community’s day-to-day operations, including full profit and loss responsibility
Plan, implement, and evaluate all aspects of operations
Recruit and train team members
Direct supervisory responsibility for leaders in sales, care, hospitality, and resident engagement
Foster an environment of high customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
Focus on creating a safe working and living environment
Lead development and implementation of sales and operations strategies
Regularly communicate performance with the Regional Vice President
Partner with Community Sales Director to assess competitive threats and engage in sales calls
Understand community’s care regulations and support resident care program
Develop and implement strategies regarding labor, occupancy growth, revenue, expenses, and quality
Ensure adherence to the Resident’s Bill of Rights
Interview, hire, train, develop, and evaluate assigned staff
Constantly assess resident needs in staffing levels
Operate the community in accordance with Company policies and regulations
Assist in developing operational budgets and capital requirements
Act as a liaison between field operations and the Support Center
Remain active in local community activities
Perform regular reviews of building construction and preventative maintenance
Work in various positions and fill in as needed
Build a high-performing team
Meet financial management requirements
Maintain a safe environment
Participate in sales activities, including tours and events
May drive Company vehicle
May perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related subject
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in operations management with demonstrated success in meeting financial and sales goals
Ability to become licensed as an administrator for assisted living within a prescribed timeframe in states requiring such a license
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Position requires driving responsibilities
Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Company motor vehicle policy standards and Travel Policy
