Job Description:

The Executive Director reports to the local Board of Directors and provides overall leadership for the affiliate of Hope Ignites. The Executive Director carries primary responsibility for the leadership and mission execution of the organization, with particular emphasis on strategy, fundraising, board relations, and administration.

Job Responsibility:

Strategic Leadership and Governance: develop, implement, and monitor affiliate strategic and annual operational plans
provide Board with materials for governance
facilitate Board meetings
support Board recruitment
drive performance management
Resource Development: serve as lead fundraiser
develop income plans
organize fundraising efforts
Program Oversight: ensure Program Director is staffed and supported
supervise Program Director
Public Relations: serve as official face and voice of organization
promote public image
implement marketing plans
develop key media sources
Stewardship and Administration: direct office and administrative functions
ensure adequate staffing
steward organizational resources
formulate annual budget
monitor and report finances
maintain compliance with regulations

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of nonprofit leadership, fundraising, board development, and management experience
BA in Administration, Management, or related field required, MA preferred
State licensing requirements may call for additional qualifications
Candidate must pass criminal, child abuse, credit, and MVR background checks and drug screening

Nice to have:

MA degree
Experience in development and board relations
Familiarity with youth programs
Knowledge of the local charitable community
Track record of effective management and program oversight
Innovative, entrepreneurial, and committed to faithful execution
