The Executive Director of Trade, Channel & Distribution Strategy & Execution, will be overseeing all aspects of channel strategies and distribution models across Amgen’s portfolio of marketed pharmaceuticals. This individual is accountable for leading and developing a high-performing account management team dedicated to the design, development, and execution of channel strategies across wholesale, specialty distribution, and specialty pharmacy, ultimately enabling Amgen’s mission to serve ‘every patient, every time. The Executive Director will coach and empower this team to effectively engage key business partners in developing targeted distribution and specialty pharmacy strategies for Amgen’s portfolio, while operating in compliance with approved guidelines.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the Trade, Channel & Distribution Strategy and Execution team that manages relationships and negotiates distribution agreements and specialty pharmacy service agreements for Amgen’s product portfolio
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with cross-functional leaders across trade channel partners including Market Access, Contracting & Pricing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Brand
  • Coach the team responsible for product channel strategy to effectively collaborate with key business partners in evaluating distribution models and specialty pharmacy services to optimize business results, drive decisions and gain appropriate approvals through senior leadership
  • Build future capabilities to strengthen Amgen’s pharmacy engagement model in the evolving US healthcare delivery landscape
  • Manage Trade, Channel & Distribution Strategy and Execution resources, including headcount and budget

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree 6 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience
  • Master’s degree & 10 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience
  • Bachelor’s degree & 12 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience AND 6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
