Northeastern University seeks a visionary and empowering leader to serve as Executive Director of Gift Planning at a defining moment in the university’s trajectory. As a cornerstone of Northeastern’s current campaign – and a critical engine of the institution’s long-term strength, sustainability, and global impact – the Office of Gift Planning plays a central role in securing transformational philanthropic commitments. Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and elevate a highly accomplished team of technical experts and nationally recognized professionals
  • Design and lead a strategic, university-wide program that integrates proactive donor engagement with expert stewardship
  • Set the vision, execute the plan, and measure outcomes
  • Serve as the content expert to the Vice President, Development and Advancement colleagues regarding planned giving vehicles
  • Oversee a complex portfolio that includes Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Gift Annuities, Pooled Income Funds, Bequests, and Life Estates
  • Expand the program to support Northeastern’s growing network of global campuses
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external administrators and legal partners
  • Personally identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of high-value prospects as a key contributor to the university’s campaign
