Job Description:

The Executive Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for successfully managing the Food and Beverage operations of the hotel and to run the operation profitably, ensuring full implementation of JW Marriott standards of service and safety and the highest levels of guest satisfaction. As a member of the Executive Committee, the position champions, develops and implements property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand's target customer and property associates.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for directing the Restaurant, Banquets, In-Room Dining, Lounge and Bars, and Recreational Operations
  • Monitor food and beverage operations for maximum sales growth and profit potential
  • Responsible for short- and long-term planning and management of Food & Beverage operations
  • Directs budget management for the department
  • Assist to evaluate and potentially reposition food and beverage concept
  • Focus on food and beverage marketing and guest service delivery
  • Work with Culinary on menu engineering
  • Track weekly labor reports
  • Exercise quality control for food and beverage
  • Interview, hire, train, and motivate team
  • Ensure all daily rehearsal meetings are conducted
  • Coordinate food and beverage operations with other hotel departments

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience as a leader in a food and beverage environment, luxury hotel preferred
  • Strong restaurant operation background
  • Proven leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be effective at handling problems in the workplace
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data
  • 4-year University/College degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major OR Five plus years of experience in food and beverage
  • Ability to communicate in the English language
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
  • Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be physically fit to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds

Nice to have:

  • Second language is a plus
  • Luxury hotel experience
