Job Responsibility:
Provide strategic thought leadership in the development and execution of all aspects of Amgen Brand Management across brand building and talent learning & development initiatives
Partner with internal leaders to inspire and embed change that lasts.
Identify and engage external thought leaders to inform and elevate Amgen Brand Management approach and execution
Lead marketing excellence leadership forums: Amgen Brand Management Steering Committee and Marketing Excellence Council
Develop Marketing Learning Ecosystem strategy and the curation and management of multi-modal training (live, self-study, external/advanced), management of the regional trainers, running of New Hire training/programming, and builders of the learning experience via the Marketing Excellence site and Learning Hub
Oversee the launch of Amgen Brand Management core curriculum / training and partner closely with global and local brand teams to identify opportunities to put key marketing concepts into practice at relevant moments
Drive continuous optimization of the brand planning process, consulting with brands throughout the process
Spearhead marketing talent strategy development and partner closely with HR on execution of prioritization talent initiatives, including the Amgen Brand Management Leadership Development Program
Oversee launch marketing community building and engagement initiatives
Requirements:
Doctorate degree & 6 years of marketing management experience
Master’s degree & 10 years of marketing management experience
Bachelor’s degree & 12 years of marketing management experience
6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
Nice to have:
15+ years of experience in marketing
Advanced or Expert competency across the following marketing competencies: Build Brand Foundations, Make Strategic Choices, and Deliver Relevant Differentiation, Execute with Excellence
Experience leading brand strategy/planning for brands at various stages of the lifecycle
Ability to effectively inspire, motivate and lead high impact teams, both internally and externally
Communication skills: the ability to effectively engage, connect, and influence various levels of the organization, from senior leadership to local marketing managers
Understanding of change management principles and experience driving change across an organization
Travel: up to 20% domestic travel to visit agencies/Amgen headquarters
