The Executive Director, Market Finance provides strategic leadership and oversight for financial planning and analysis functions by managing a team of directors, managers, and financial analysts within the Market Finance organization. Provides guidance on financial strategy, delivers insightful reporting & analytics, and collaborates with Field Operations to drive financial improvement and achieve business objectives. Also ensures accurate financial reporting and contributes to strategic planning and risk assessments.
Job Responsibility:
Will lead the analysis of Store Financial Performance, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis by providing insights and recommendations to senior Field leadership (SVP, VP) based on financial data and trends
Conducts scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis to evaluate the financial impact of various business scenarios and help guide strategic decisions
Creates sophisticated financial models to support strategic decision-making and long-term financial planning
Analyzes the financial performance of Divisions, States, or Markets
Analyzes lines of business (Front Store, Pharmacy) and expenses (Payroll), identifying areas of improvement and growth opportunities
Establishes financial planning and analysis processes, systems, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy
Conducts performance evaluations, sets performance goals, provides guidance, and fosters a collaborative and high-performing team environment
Requirements:
15+ years work experience
Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
Adept at business intelligence
Adept at collaboration and teamwork
Strong Analytical Capabilities and Analytical tool familiarity
Mastery of problem solving and decision-making skills
Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
Nice to have:
Prior related Retail or Operations Finance experience
