The Sheboygan County YMCA is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Executive Director for Camp Y-Koda, an 80-acre outdoor education and summer camp program serving youth, families, and the community. The Executive Director of Camp Y-Koda provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for multiple program areas including: Summer Camp programs; Maywood summer and school-year programming; School district partnerships; Annual fundraising initiatives; Camp Y-Koda facilities and grounds. This leader works closely with staff, volunteers, and the YMCA Executive Team to ensure program growth, safety, member satisfaction, and financial sustainability.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, recruit, and supervise camp staff and volunteers
Oversee summer camp and outdoor education programming
Manage camp facilities, operations, and safety
Develop and manage budgets and monitor financial performance
Support annual fundraising initiatives and donor relationships
Build partnerships with schools, organizations, and community groups
Collaborate with YMCA leadership on strategic planning and program growth
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience managing staff, programs, and budgets
Ability to analyze financial and participation data
CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
Ability to pass a background check
Must obtain YMCA Organizational Leader Certification within 3 years
Nice to have:
6+ years of management experience in a YMCA or nonprofit organization
