We work with Hotels, Restaurants, Caterers, Cafeteria to create exciting menus that are good for diners, and good for the planet. Our brands include Bango, Knorr, Royco, Hellman’s— trusted and used by chefs and F&B operators every day. We’re searching for an Executive Chef to own and champion the culinary know-how, solution innovations and demand creation in collaboration with cross functions.

Job Responsibility

  • Executive Chef in UFS Indonesia is responsible for culinary expertise and create innovative application of the Unilever Food Solutions product portfolio to support business plan, Chef support for developing and executing business plans as part of cross functional team, with the objective of delivery sales targets and profitability management.
  • This role will be reporting to Managing Director of UFS ID and work closely with Sales (CD) and Marketing.
  • This is a country leadership position that will be involved into critical decision making for the business, and leads culinary know-how development and decisions.
  • There are 5 direct reports (sous chef) and dot line management of 10+ field technical chefs on co-creating demand together with sales team.
  • Culinary Strategy Development: Develop innovative culinary strategies aligned with market trends, customer needs, and Unilever Food Solutions' business objectives.
  • Product Development and Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve food products, recipes, and menu solutions.
  • Culinary Demonstrations and Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations, culinary workshops, and training sessions for customers, distributors, and internal teams.
  • Menu Development and Optimization: Work with our sales and marketing teams to develop profitable and appealing menus for our customers.
  • Culinary Trends Analysis: Monitor and analyze culinary trends, consumer preferences, and market insights.
  • Culinary Innovation: Lead the development of innovative culinary concepts and products that align with market trends, customer needs, and our business objectives.
  • Culinary Training: Responsible developing and implementing a training program that empowers and stretches the team.
  • Culinary Support: Provide expert culinary support and advice to our customers, helping them to improve their operations and achieve their business objectives.
  • Brand Representation: Represent Unilever Food Solutions at industry events, trade shows, and media appearances.

Requirements

  • Academic / Professional qualification, 8 -10 years of working experience in professional kitchen including 3 years in leadership role.
  • Full member of local Culinary Association
  • Good command of spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia and English
  • Culinary expertise and creativity, passion for growth
  • Pro-active, business orientated, focused and problem solver.
  • Basic knowledge of R&D, Marketing, and sales preferable
  • Good presentation, planning and organizing skills.
  • Able to work in multi-cultural environment.
  • Possess knowledge and experience in Foodservice industry.
  • National travel required.
