The United Learning South East London Cluster is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Executive Business Manager to lead business functions across four schools. Under the oversight of the Senior Executive Business Manager, you will initially lead on strategic operations across two of our schools with a view to extending oversight to all four by the end of your first year in role. You will be expected to offer trusted advice to each of our Principals as they seek to develop the unique strengths of each school. Your support will enable our schools to deliver an excellent education to young people across South East London. You will work tirelessly in pursuit of excellence, managing a team of people covering a range of business functions such as Finance, HR, IT, Facilities, Marketing and Governance. In a fast-paced environment you will work closely with leaders across the South East London Cluster and United Learning's central teams, striving to ensure sustainability, efficiency and effective ways of working. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate sound financial planning and budgetary control, adept management skills and be able to make sure that the cluster realises all the benefits of being a part of United Learning.
Job Responsibility:
Lead business functions across four schools
Offer trusted advice to each of the Principals
Manage a team covering Finance, HR, IT, Facilities, Marketing and Governance
Ensure sustainability, efficiency and effective ways of working
Manage relationships with United Learning central teams
Develop close working relationship with each school and its leadership
Tune support services to meet key goals
Requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Sound financial planning and budgetary control
Ability to build strong and productive relationships with a wide range of people
Clear and effective management in a fast-paced environment
Experience of leading and coordinating the delivery of executive support services and financial management in a number of schools or a similarly complex environment
Familiarity with strategic planning and decision-making, professional relationship management, negotiating and influencing at Senior Leadership, Local Governing Body and Executive Board level
Effective and efficient management of all resources
Experience in getting the best out of a high performing and motivated team
Ability to actively promote and model the values of United Learning and our Framework for Excellence
Highest regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of staff, children and young people
