Executive Assistant maternity cover position supporting a distinguished team of legal professionals in a leading barristers' chambers. The role provides seamless administrative and organisational support in a prestigious legal environment specialising in commercial, public & regulatory, competition, sport, financial services, and employment law.
Job Responsibility:
Manage renewals of Practising Certificates and Professional Indemnity Insurance
Oversee the onboarding and departure of tenants and members
Coordinate in-house training programmes and ensure compliance with CPD requirements
Provide high-level support to the Head of Chambers and members, including diary and travel management
Support senior management by scheduling and coordinating internal meetings
Assist the Finance Manager with invoicing, expenses, and other finance-related administration
Provide day-to-day administrative support across chambers
Assist with the coordination of pupillage applications, mini-pupillages, and university outreach events
Prepare induction materials and oversee logistics for pupillage-related activities
Work with the Marketing Manager to deliver chambers' events and networking functions
Assist in preparing marketing materials and coordinating logistics for promotional initiatives
Oversee day-to-day chambers activities such as weekly tea, drinks, and special occasion arrangements
Maintain internal communications, including intranet updates and newsletters
Requirements:
Previous experience in a professional services environment, ideally within legal, financial, or consultancy sectors
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Excellent written communication and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel essential)
Professionalism, discretion, and a strong commitment to confidentiality (including GDPR awareness)
A confident and polished manner, with experience of diary management and liaising at senior levels
