This position provides confidential, high-level administrative support and serves as the primary liaison between the Town Administrator, Select Board, town departments, and the public.
Job Responsibility:
Managing communications and schedules
preparing Select Board agendas, meeting materials, and minutes
ensuring compliance with the Open Meeting Law and Public Records Law
maintaining official records
processing licenses under Select Board authority
coordinating board and committee appointments
assisting with budget tracking and invoice processing
drafting correspondence and legal notices
maintaining the Select Board’s website content
regularly attends Select Board meetings, including executive sessions
Requirements:
Three to five years of experience in municipal government or a related professional setting, or equivalent education and experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
excellent communication and organizational skills
ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain strict confidentiality
