Job Description:

This position provides confidential, high-level administrative support and serves as the primary liaison between the Town Administrator, Select Board, town departments, and the public.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing communications and schedules
  • preparing Select Board agendas, meeting materials, and minutes
  • ensuring compliance with the Open Meeting Law and Public Records Law
  • maintaining official records
  • processing licenses under Select Board authority
  • coordinating board and committee appointments
  • assisting with budget tracking and invoice processing
  • drafting correspondence and legal notices
  • maintaining the Select Board’s website content
  • regularly attends Select Board meetings, including executive sessions

Requirements:

  • Three to five years of experience in municipal government or a related professional setting, or equivalent education and experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain strict confidentiality
