A well‑established law firm in Berkeley is seeking an Executive Assistant/Office Manager to support their Managing Partner on a contract‑to‑hire basis. Job Responsibility:
Provide comprehensive executive support to the Managing Partner, including calendar management, meeting prep, task tracking, and follow‑up
Assist with billing tasks such as time entry, expense tracking, and proofreading invoices (training provided)
Coordinate domestic travel, logistics, and itineraries
Manage everyday office operations, including supplies, vendors, and general administrative needs
Proactively anticipate the Managing Partner’s needs and address issues before they arise
Support HR‑related coordination, including scheduling interviews and assisting with onboarding
Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Step in across various administrative functions to ensure smooth office operations
Requirements:
Experience as an Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Office Manager, or similar support role
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
A proactive, resourceful mindset with strong attention to detail
Interest and willingness to learn billing processes unique to the firm
Excellent communication skills and a polished, professional presence
Ability to work fully on‑site at the firm’s Berkeley office
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems
Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast‑moving environment
